Meet the Promoters

KALEHUA FEATHERAN

An entertainer for over 30 years, Kalehua is a self taught musician, vocalist, emcee and composer. In addition to performing for many years in almost every major hotel in Waikiki, he has also traveled extensively in the continental USA, Pacific Island and Orient, performing for many celebrities and businesses executives. A talented and versatile entertainer who performs classic and contemporary Hawaiian tunes, country western, rock and roll and other styles with great ease and ability, he specializes in Hawaiian falsetto, a unique form of singing. He plays several different instruments, including Hawaiian slack key, but his favorite instrument is his piano. An entrepreneur at heart, Kalehua began his own tropical floral import and export business as soon as he graduated from Kailua High School and ran it for 5 years. He then operated a successful tour company for 5 years and then became a real estate and land developer in the late 80’s and early 90’s. Concurrently, he also spoke on topics ranging from entrepreneurship for children, to Hawaiian music, to healing with plants and herbs. He was the first graduate of his Uncle Tommy Solomon’s La’au Lapa’au class in Kohala, Hawaii (the use of native herbs and plants to assist people in healing).

In 2002, Kalehua founded the Hawaii Institute of Healing Arts, an association of people who share a common interest in assisting people in their healing process through mana, mere and mana’o - energy, tones and thought. The Institute’s mission is to serve for the betterment of mankind and one of the pathways to the achievement of this mission is explained by E ara mai e a’o i na tupu - Awaken the teachings (doctrines) of the past. We see a rebirth of the Hawaiian traditions and culture taking place and the knowledge from our ancestors being shared with the people of the world. As people accept the authenticity of this information and begin to use it, it will enable them to awaken their own innate gifts and abilities and create healing for self and the world. We see the wisdom of the ancient ways creating a pathway of healing energy, which rejuvenates life, encourages a balance between spirit, mind and body and restores wellness to people, places and elements.

Kalehua’s gifts are evident in his voice and music. He is able to find a particular frequency that seems to resonate with a client and tones to aid in the healing process. In scientific tests conducted at Arizona State University, brain maps measure the harmonious impact of Kalehua’s gifts when working with clients. He also writes original songs for clients, again, customizing the frequency so they may continue to benefit from their session with him even when at home.

In 2003, Kalehua was ordained as a minister of Universal Ministries of Milford, Illinois. He has had the honor of officiating at weddings, blessings and other ceremonies through his ministry, Te Ha Ora (The Breath of Life). Kalehua serves as one of the bishops for Hawaii and has been instrumental in assisting other ministers to obtain their authorization to perform marriages in the State of Hawaii.

He currently is co-owner of 2 businesses: Kalehua Productions, LLC, a professional recording studio, with duplication/printing/packing capabilities for CDs and Multiple Business Solutions dba Global Finance Solutions, a financial education program that teaches homeowners how to pay off their mortgage loan quicker and gain financial freedom.

Kalehua’s life experiences have well prepared him for this joyous task of developing and staging We Are Polynesia–Our Story. He has the music experience, the Polynesian background, the warm hearted love for all people, and the entrepreneurial spirit and personae to truly present a memorable and unique celebration of song and dance, honoring the origins and travels of the people of the Polynesian triangle.
